Hydropower has been generating clean electricity for more than a century. Reliable dispatchable and built to last for generations. Quantrex operates hydroelectric facilities across three regions delivering the baseload clean power that renewable grids depend on.
Wind and solar generate power when the wind blows and the sun shines. Hydropower generates power when the grid needs it. That dispatchability makes hydro an essential partner to intermittent renewables.
When wind output drops a hydroelectric facility can increase generation within minutes. Geothermal
Geothermal energy is one of the most reliable clean power sources on the planet. Always on. Weather independent. Available twenty four hours a day three hundred and sixty five days a year.
Wind and solar are intermittent. Geothermal is not. The heat stored beneath the earth's surface is vast continuous and entirely unaffected by weather seasons or time of day. A geothermal facility commissioned today will generate clean power with the same consistency in thirty years as it does on day one.
That reliability makes geothermal uniquely valuable in a grid increasingly dominated by variable renewables. Quantrex operates 900 MW of geothermal capacity today and has a further 1.4 GW in active development across Iceland the Philippines Kenya and New Zealand.
